Culture Tourism visits to Maasai and Barbaig Tour

Day 1 – 2 Arusha – Maasai Village

In the morning we will pick you up from your hotel in Arusha. Afterwards you will head to the  Maasailand near Tinga-Tinga.  After arriving at Maasai Village a group of pleasant Maasai and the Village Chief welcomes you. During a walk through the village, your personal Maasai guide is explaining the life, past and today’s life of the Tanzania Maasai tribe.

Gather together with Maasai people while tasting a traditional tea (chai) prepared on the wood fire. A tasty lunch with a variety of local food highlights will end the activities inside the village. The afternoon starts with educational  walking safari across the nearby bush.  Maasai warriors will guide you along their paths and explain you typical medicinal plants, extraordinary trees, tracks and the local wildlife.

Additionally  usage of local tools, hunting techniques and fire preparation is a part your unforgettable bush experience. During the sunset a group of Maasai men and woman gathering around for the traditional singing & dancing performances. BBQ and camp fire gathering together  with maasai friends will make your evening most rewarding.  The evening will find the end at your private Maasai house on traditional beds with comfortable mats & blankets.

Early morning, its time to say goodbye to Maasai people in the village. Your driver will bring you back to your hotel in Arusha.

Barbaig trip

Day 1: Arusha - Babati.
In the morning at 0830hrs, Pickup from the hotel in Arusha and drive 172 km approx 3hrs 40min to arrive Babati. Walk or drive to Lake Babati to see large bodies floating on the Lake, Hippos, fishing is the main activities in the Lake. Lunch at Guesthouse or Camp. There after; visit commercial farms of the local people.

Dinner and overnight, in the guesthouse or Camp.

Day 2: Babati - Hanang:
Breakfast in your camp and drive 73km to Katesh Hanang for lunch, after lunch walk thru the bush 17 km over the mang'ati plains and arrive in a village of the Barbaig bushmen tribe. You will be with a Barbaig guide who will translate when barbaig language is spoken.

Dinner and overnight in the Boma and Camping.

Day 3: Hanang:
After breakfast, continue exploring the Brarbaig. You will hear thorough explanation on their unique preceding of marriage, burial of elderly men, religious rituals and local taboos. Be free taking pictures with bargaigs. You will learn and experience the cultural insights from tribe, hear the lecture and or practically on how they make their clothes, and by using goatskin. If time allow, visit their school and dispensary teacher and nurses can be as kid any question.

Dinner and overnight in the Boma or Camp.

Day 4: Katesh - Kondoa Irangi:
Breakfast followed by reroute back to Katesh by walking, met your vehicle and drive to Kondoa Irangi, take you lunch box on the way. In the afternoon visit the Rock Paintings; experience the existence of ancient man in Tanzania thru these rock paintings.

Dinner and overnight in Quest house or Camping FB.

Day 5: Kondoa - Lake Eyasi:
Wake up at 0630 for breakfast, drive back to Katesh, with our packed lunch which will be served on the way, proceed with your adventure in the A 4WD vehicle to Lake Eyasi via Ayeda chini where you will arrive in the Mid Afternoon. There after relax at leisure or walk around then soda Lake, the breeding center of flamingo birds

Dinner and overnight in Cottages or Camping FB.

Day 6: Lake Eyasi:
Breakfast in the camp followed by walking to track the bushmen of Hadzabe tribe who are living in the area, experience their bush life style, their main activities is to hunt for the food, they also eat rodents.

You will have all meals and overnight in Eyasi FB.

Day 7: Lake Eyasi - Mto wa Mbu:
Breakfast in Eyasi, then drive to Mto wa Mbu in Manyara, with a stop at lab. Manyara viewpoint. Mto wa mbu village, is famous for congestion of people from different tribes of Tanzania including some from nearby country. Each tribe following its traditional and culture. Your local guide will explain about it, then proceed with a walk to Miwaleni and waterfall.

After lunch, relax at leisure in the lodge/camping waiting for dinner and overnight.

Day 8: Manyara - Arusha:
Breakfast followed by morning game drives in Lake Manyara National Park to look for lion, elephant, giraffe, zebra, wildebeest, hippo, baboons and many water birds on the Lake Manyara. At 1300hrs back to your lodge/camp for hot lunch.

Then after lunch, drive back to Arusha,
